It is a matter of collecting employees' personal data if an employer installs and runs surveillance systems in workplaces. The employer should respect the workers' right to information by keeping them informed of such matters as to why data is collected and how it will be used. Therefore, an employer who already has the workplaces installed with surveillance systems should brief the employees about them; otherwise, the employer may risk an administrative offence due to his failure to respect the workers' right to information.
