QQuestions:
Which are the authorized public authorities in Macao that may review a bank's customer database?
AReply

Banks are legally bound to provide their customers' data to their legally designated supervisory institutions, judicial agencies or competent judicial police department. For example, the Monetary Authority may, as far as its oversight over financial institutions requires, demand that banks to provide certain data, by virtue of the provisions of the Code of Financial System.
